Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort

In the face of adversity, the Fischer Group exemplified the true spirit of community and compassion. When devastating fires swept through Southern California, they didn't hesitate to act. Utilizing their test kitchen equipment and culinary expertise, they provided hot meals to first responders and displaced families across the region. Their selfless dedication not only nourished those in need but also uplifted the entire community. It's heartening to see such unwavering commitment to service during challenging times. The Performance Reps NW Team had the privilege of volunteering at the Meals on Wheels Central Kitchen in Multnomah Village.

Meals on Wheels Oregon serves Washington County and Multnomah County in Oregon, as well as Clark County in Southwest Washington. Founded in 1969, Meals on Wheels provides nutritious meals to seniors over 60 through home delivery and at four dining locations across Oregon and Washington.

Their mission is to enrich the lives of seniors and help them maintain independence by offering high-quality, heart-healthy meals, human connections, and social support. The central kitchen, spanning 14,000 square feet, prepares up to 6,400 meals daily, which are then delivered to dining centers and homes throughout the three counties they serve.

Greenwald Sales & Marketing recently had the opportunity to volunteer with NC4K (Nellie’s Champions for Kids), a Columbus-based nonprofit that supports families affected by pediatric cancer through financial assistance, emotional support, and community events. "Our team spent the day unpacking and organizing donations that will be distributed to families in need. It was an eye-opening experience to see the important work NC4K does to make life a little easier for families facing incredibly tough challenges."

Carl Kisner, founder and president of Ignite Foodservice Solutions, created his own program within the company called the Give Back Challenge. It encourages their team to find ways to volunteer, raise money, and give back to the wonderful communities and organizations that they share the state of Colorado with.

“We have participated in several of these efforts over the last few years. Last year, our inside office staff did the St. Jude Walk-A-Thon and raised almost $8,000. Luke Simonds, our Corporate Chef also led our Denver team in feeding dinner to folks at the local Ronald McDonald House. To close the year, one of our territory managers Erik Wolford participated in Wreaths Across America

One of our absolute favorites was when the inside staff made blankets for patients at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado.

We ended up making over 350 blankets. We plan to keep up the good work this year, and we appreciate all MAFSI’s efforts through the Give Back program.”
