As we all know, there’s considerably more to MAFSI members than being a rep or manufacturer, and we want other members to know about it! Are you passionate about a particular philanthropic cause? Are you a huge foodie, always at the latest restaurant? Maybe you’re an avid skydiver. Whatever it is – we want to know about it — and SEE you doing it.

1. Tell us about your morning ritual.

Wake up at 4 a.m. PST. I get ready for my day by 5 a.m., and get on the phone to East Coast restaurants and equipment dealers until 7:15. Then I drive to the office to continue calling across the country building the Zeco brand.

2. What's your favorite non-work activity, and why?

Golf!  Because it’s just me against the designers of the course.  Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. I enjoy the quiet, the smell of fresh cut grass, and knowing my next shot could be my best ever..

3. What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

Being the father of my son Dalton.

4. We know it wasn’t in commercial foodservice, so what was your childhood dream job?

Major League Baseball Player.

5. Guilty Pleasure: What can you not live without? (i.e. Reality TV, specific junk foods, 80’s hair bands, etc.)

6. If Hollywood made a movie of your life, who would play you in the lead role?

Adam Sandler.

7.You can choose any restaurant in the world to have your last meal. What is it, where is it, and most importantly--why?

Der Wienerschnitzel in Lodi, Ca, because that's the place we’d always go to after Little League ball games all the way through high school baseball.  Those chili cheese dogs are amazing.

8. If you had one piece of advice to give to a young person in the industry, what would it be?

Do not fear the inevitable failures, embrace them because they are your greatest teacher.
